This is the sounding website that I use. I think its easier to use than the one on the website.
•You can use the default settings (OP40 is the rapid update cycle)
•For number of hours type 12
•For airport type KPNS
•Click java-based plots
You will see a gray button for each hour. PNS(A) xxxx where xxxx is the UTC time of the current sounding. PNS(F1) xxxx is one hour forcast, PNS(F2) is a two hour forcast, etc.
You can click each gray button to show that sounding.
As you look at the plot, click on the map and drag a box, this allows you to zoom in for the lower 10,000 feet or so.
At ground level, click on the map at any temperature to simulate a thermal. It will automatically draw the dry adiabatic line to the dew point, then it will draw a saturated adiabatic line.
